A caricature is a rendered image showing the features of its subject in a simplified or exaggerated way through sketching, pencil strokes or through other artistic drawings. In literature, a caricature is a description of a person using exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others.

choose a type for which you have affection or aversion, among classical typographies (1.1 to 1.10 of vox) without caricatural expression. Then determine its characteristics (formal, context, author…) and what distinguishes it from anothers. From there you can think about what particularity of the font you wish exacerbate – the caricature can be based on a formal or contextual characteristic (drawing, epoch, designer, use of the font…
